Food intolerance is also known as delayed allergy. IgG
antibodies recognise specific proteins in foods as dangerous,
and therefore the body over reacts to the presence of these
foods. Effects of food intolerances may not be felt for
a couple of hours after eating the trigger item; and it
is this late onset that makes identifying offending foods
very difficult

Lactose Intolerance (Infants) £80
This is a comprehensive screen of your child's ability
to tolerate milk and digest lactose. The screen looks at
antibody levels for milk allergies and intolerance ,a stool
acidity for lactose intolerance. These tests are performed
after a lactose challenge. Before your consultation a kit
will be sent to you containing comprehensive instructions.
Lactose Intolerance (Adults) £70
Adults receive a lactose challenge test in the clinic (not
suitable for diabetics). After drinking a lactose rich milk
solution pinprick blood samples are taken at regular intervals,
up to 1 hour post dose (variable). Results are available
immediately.
A Follow-up appointment is normally required
to explain test results and initiate treatment.
Follow-up appointments are charged at £30
for the first 30 minutes and £20 for each additional 30
minutes
